Background:   I've always loved dogs. My folks finally gave up and got me one back in the late 60's. They chose miniature poodles due to the lack of shedding. I enjoyed caring for them & grooming them in the "lamb" clip. Never did like the "show" poodle clip. No one ever tells you though how much work a poodle is. They may not shed, but between the clipping & ear cleaning, I knew that was not the breed for me. I met my first Australian Shepherd in the early 80's and instantly fell in love with the breed. I got my first aussie in 1993 and started learning about the different venues available for this wonderful breed. Later on I bred my first litter under the kennel name "Zion".  My daughter kept a puppy & showed the 2 dogs in 4-H & Juniors in conformation and obedience. I learned a lot & traveled around the country meeting many wonderful people and dogs.
